The homeless are invisible to these eyes and feet that walk past
them. They are the lost souls of this city we live in. They lie in the
streets, they stand in the shadows, and they are on their own.
They are looked upon as if they were a disease. Like there was a
sign around their neck saying don’t touch me. They are being
treated like dirt day in and day out. They are not being treated
I stand and watch, and think
All that pass them are people’s feet and eyes
And it breaks my heart because no one sees them
Why can’t we stop for a moment?
And be a light to them
Let’s show them they are important, and show them
Love and compassion through our actions, not our words.
Little children, let us not love with words or tongue, but with action and in truth.
